After much experimentation and at leat 100 thumbnail sketches to get this right, I was able to produce this Torii Stool. It is Inspired by the Shinto Torii Gates. I had many constraints to building this including not having a workshop to build in. I was able to produce this using all butt joints, pine wood, and drywall screws for incredible durability and security. Each piece of wood is around 2 inches thick which makes this a heavy piece of furniture but incredibly satisfying to look at.
